I am a Professor of International Relations/Political Science at the Geneva Graduate Institute and the Director of the Global Governance Centre. My articles have appeared in journals such as the International Studies Quarterly, the European Journal of Political Research, Governance, the European Journal of Political Research and the Journal of Common Market Studies. I am currently interested in researching issues of global governance, the politics of knowledge, international organisations, bureaucratic expansion and the concept of ethical expertise.

Juanita Uribe

I am a PhD candidate in International Relations/Political Science at the Geneva Graduate Institute. I am interested in global governance, International Organizations, and the shifting roles of expertise in global politics. My doctoral project examines how the contours of governance objects are forged in a context of greater inclusion and diversity, with a particular emphasis on the field of global food policy. My articles have appeared in journals such as the European Journal of International Relations and International Political Sociology.

I am a PhD candidate in International Relations/Political Science at the Geneva Graduate Institute. My PhD project “Floods, fires, and fervour: The unfolding politics of climate emergencies” looks at the political effects of climate emergency claims and of causally attributing specific disasters to anthropogenic heating. My research interests include the relationships between climate science and politics, as well as the politics of time, temporality, and temporal imaginaries.
